Madiba is an American/South African television miniseries which follows struggle icon Nelson Mandela on his personal and political journey for peace and social justice in South Africa.
Beginning from the days of Mandela's childhood, to his overthrow of the Apartheid regime, Madiba reveals Nelson Mandela in a way that we have never seen before.
The series takes an intimate look at the experiences that shaped him, his personal relationships, friendships and political alliances which led him to make such an important and enduring impact on the history of South Africa.
The series features performances by Laurence Fishburne (Black-ish, The Matrix Trilogy) as Nelson Mandela and Terry Pheto (Tsotsi, Catch a Fire, Goodbye Bafana) as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, as well as Kate Liquorish as Ruth First, Hlomla Dandala as Govan Mbeki and Meren Reddy as Ahmed Kathrada.
