Season 11
ER is an American serial medical drama created by novelist Michael Crichton and set primarily in the emergency room of fictional County General Hospital in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.
The series originally premiered in the USA on NBC on 19 September, 1994. It will end in the USA after 331 episodes in 15 seasons on 2 April, 2009.
ER originally premiered in South Africa on M-Net. It later aired on DStv's M-Net Series channel.

In Season 11, Dr Carter struggles to come to terms with the loss of his baby and Kem leaving. But he finds himself drawn to the new social worker, Wendall. He's still not happy though and still pictures a future with Kem in Africa.
Dr Pratt and Dr Chen take time to recover from their car accident and getting back to work proves difficult. Dr Chen is also still taking care of her sick and angry father.
Dr Susan Lewis is appointed the ER Chief and comes to learn what a thankless and difficult job it is.
Dr Gallant, being a soldier is called to service in Iraq and this season occassionally looks at him trying to be a doctor in a war.
Sam Taggart is still trying to fend off her ex-husband and deal with a son who still wants his father back. Her faith in Kovac wavers constantly.
Abby is still trying to get used to being a doctor instead of a nurse and finds it difficult. She is hounded by new intern, Jake, who wants to go out with her and she's not sure whether she should. She also faces a traumatic even when she is kidnapped by gang members.
Intern, Neela Rasgotra is not sure that she's cut out for medical practice and looks outside of medicine for another job.
Season 11 also sees the arrival of new hot-shot rocker intern, Dr Ray Barnett, who continuously ruffles feathers and tempers.
