Season 5
It has been only a few hours since Zoey Bartlet was kidnapped and the President has temporarily relinquished the office – to Republican Glenallen Walken.
Walken has taken a hard line against the kidnappers – one that may be fatal for Zoey.
Rifts are appearing in the leadership of both parties, further complicated by the arrival of a ransom note demanding the release of terrorists.
In the meantime, Danny Concannon tells CJ that he’s going ahead with his story on the Shareef assassination.
In addition, the Democratic leadership in congress is unhappy with Bartlet’s handover – and the President’s eldest daughter, Elizabeth has arrived at the White House with her husband and children.
