Season 2
The Unit is an American action-drama television series created by David Mamet that focuses on a top-secret military unit modeled after the real life Delta Force, featuring both the domestic lives of the team members and their missions abroad, in addition to the effect their careers have on their home lives, wives and girlfriends.
The series aired in the USA on CBS from 7 March, 2006 to 10 May, 2009. There are 69 hour-long episodes in four seasons.
The Unit premiered in South Africa on SABC1 on Monday 16 April 2007, at 22h00. It later aired on SABC2, beginning with Season 3. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 2 originally aired on SABC1 on from 15 September, 2008 to 16 February, 2009, on Mondays at 22h00. There are 23 episodes in the second season.
A rebroadcast of Season 2 premiered on SABC1 on Monday 7 September 2009, at 22h00.
Season 2
The Unit 2 sees the return of the super-secret Unit of U.S. Special Forces who undertake missions around the world.
Headed up by Jonas "Snake Doctor" Blane, their missions are ordered by the president and their existence is never ackowledged.
In the first season Bob Brown joined the Unit as they set out to rescue an airliner filled with European businessmen. While Bob threw himself into his missions, his wife Kim struggled with how much control the Unit has over her own personal life.
In Season 2 some new characters join the cast and the Unit's adventures include missions to Pakistan, Bulgaria, Russia and Korea.
