Season 4
The Battlestar Galactica science fiction franchise, which began as a 1978 TV series, was "reimagined" in 2003 into a TV mini-series. The mini-series served as a backdoor pilot for a 2004 TV series.
Featuring re-imagined, more deeply portrayed favourite characters from the original series, each season of the show sees the crew of Galactica facing new adventures, challenges, failures and conquests as they travel through time and space trying to find what they're searching for.
The mini-series originally aired in the USA on the Sci Fi channel from 8-9 December, 2003. The full series premiered on 18 October, 2004 and ended in the USA on 20 March, 2009.
The mini-series aired in South Africa on M-Net from 8-22 July, 2005. The full series aired on M-Net Action (previously known as actionX) from 9 August, 2005 to 6 May, 2009. It later aired on TopTV's Fox FX channel. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 4 premiered on M-Net Action on Wednesday 16 April 2008, at 20h00. The first two episodes of Season 4 are made up of the made-for-TV movie Battlestar Galactica: Razor, which was shown as a standalone movie in the USA, to bridge the gap between Seasons 3 and 4.
Season 4 went on hiatus after the 12th episode, on 2 July 2008. The fourth season was split in the USA due to the 2007/8 WGA strike.
Season 4 resumed on M-Net Action with Episode 13 on Wednesday 4 March 2009, at 20h00. There are 22 episodes in the fourth and final season (including the Razor episodes).

Season 4
Last season's finale left the characters in an unbending, inevitable course. It doesn't take long for the story to jump up the rails and go somewhere no one would have expected.
And now, the final season opens up with the first season 4 episode entitled He That Believeth In Me.
This season has two ongoing conflicts that has to be resolved: The identity of the 12th and final cylon model and the location of Earth. The season finale has been subtitled "The Final Revelation" and sets the direction of each episode towards the unveiling of these yet to be resolved issues.
A quick flashback from Season 3 finale, Crossroads: Part 2, The Galactica was caught in a huge battle with more Cylon ships than they had expected. Samuel Anders got into an interesting confrontation with a Cylon Raider before the battle came to an end.
Season 4 Episode 1 picks up minutes after this battle and splits into two parts.
There are three main threads going through the episode: the crew reeling from Starbuck's sudden return, Baltar reeling from being released from prison, and the four new Cylons reeling from learning that they're Cylons.
