The Remix SA
Premiere date: Friday, 20 July and Sunday, 22 July 2018 at 18h00
Mo Flava & Kelly Khumalo
A reality show that searches for the best Singer-Music DJ/Producer team who can offer a completely new spin on popular music tracks.
Each week the teams are given songs based on themes, which they have to remix and perform with their own unique take.
The judges are Kelly Khumalo and Mo Flava and the series is hosted by Mzansi Insider presenter KC and rapper Rouge (in her first presenting gig).
The show will air twice a week: the Friday episodes are the performance episodes and the Sunday episodes are the Results Shows.

Gospel Unplugged

Idols 11 runner-up Mmatema Moremi hosts this new contemporary gospel music show which includes talk and lifestyle elements.
The show caters for various genres of urban gospel music, including hip hop, house and R&B gospel.
The series includes a karaoke insert which takes guests on a ride, talking about their life’s journey with God and singing along to their favourite songs.

Kyle Ng
An international show that takes viewers on a humorous and enlightening journey into the world of street wear.
In each episode, eccentric designer Kyle Ng embarks on a series of adventures around one global and iconic fashion staple, including plaid, cowboy boot, camouflage and the suit.
Starting from a simple question “Who wore it first?”, Kyle dives into the lives of the craftsmen, collectors, celebrities and eccentrics who share a passion for what they put on.
Africa By Women Year 3

A series of individual Mzansi short stories created and produced by young black female filmmakers, in partnership with the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF).

Thandi is reunited with her father after many years, which gives her new hope in her life until she loses him again.

A father wants his daughter to succeed him as the first female reverend of his church, however her brother is determined to impose himself into the position.
Nompilo (Written and Directed by Mbalizethu Zulu)
A woman wants answers from her mother about the abuse she experienced as a child but her mother can’t remember as she suffers from Alzheimer’s (memory loss).
Seamless (Written and Directed by Phuthi Nakene)
Mmabatho is a domestic worker who works for a designer who ill-treats her. Her fortune changes when a rich client sees a dress that she's created.
The Woods (Written and Directed by Caroline Dougherty)
Couples enter a competition to win a house of a deceased benefactor and secrets are revealed as the pressure gets to them.
Daddy’s Boy (Written by Tasjia Reddy and Directed by Tiny Mungwe)
A young boy misses his late father and befriends a neighbour who later falls in love with his mother.
Moriti (Written and directed by Lesedi Mogoatlhe)
Moriti is a young teenager who lives with her divorced mother and younger brother. This film explores her experiences as she's expected to look after her sick brother and run the house when her mother is working.
My Brother’s Keeper (Written and Directed by Kgatlhiso Sephiri)
A father doesn’t want his daughter to attend school but her brother risks his wrath when he goes p against him in an attempt to get her into school.
Toyi Toyi for Zanele (Written and Directed by Hajra Hajoo Cassim)
Gogo Zanele arrives at a retirement home and soon exposes the caregiver's tough and abusive way of running the place.
Fifi’s Beauty Spot (Written by Thando Bella Khoza and Directed by Keitumetsi Qhali)
A planned robbery goes wrong when two armed robbers try to rob customers at FIFI’S beauty spot saloon.

A new video-clip series featuring funny videos by online content creators. The aim of the show is to give online video creators a platform to "verify" their skills and compete for a bona fide title of “the true MVP” (most valuable players).
The series is presented by Nehemiah Tjatji.

A family drama series with elements of mystery and fantasy. The show centres round Khanya Hlophe, who goes in search of her true identity and comes full circle with her roots.
NEW SUNDAY NIGHT MINI-SERIES'
SABC1 debuts a new mini-series strand called Woza Nazo on Sunday, 22 July at 20h00. Each series consists of four, 48-minute episode series.

Emoyeni

The supernatural realm collides with the ordinary… this series follows the journeys of individuals plagued by loss, fear, guilt, pain and desire.
These are the lead characters:
Phakamile (played by Mothusi Magano), a previously successful alcoholic responsible for his daughter going missing.
Bonga (Thabo Rametsi), a popularity-hungry fashionista running away from a calling.
Zen (Mandisa Nduna), a water spirit, who desperately wants to be human.
Kitso (Nozipho Nkelemba), a grieving widow saddled with her cheating husband’s illegitimate son.
Each of these individuals’ lives are shaken when they come into contact with the world beyond. They must confront their fears and embrace the supernatural, or suffer forever.
Side Dish

How long can you keep a secret? When a group of four married friends go on holiday, one of the women invites her Ben 10 over. But things take a turn for the worst when the Ben 10 sleeps with one of the friends …
An argument ensues and Ben 10 is accidently killed. Faced with the dilemma of whether to report the death or not, the ladies decide to bury Ben 10 as they see it as their only way to keep themselves out of prison and save their marriages.
Cast includes: Refilwe Madumo, Jo-anne Reyneke, Matshepo Maleme, Thuso Mbedu, Ntando Mncube and Zali Nxabi.

Deep in the belly of a 100-year-old gold mine is a desperate miner, Amos, who works daily, chipping away at the hard rock to contribute to an economy he's hardly a part of.
Stressed and pressurized, Amos’s lack of focus results in a minor tremor in the shaft him and his team are working on. While struggling to come out of the fated shaft, he finds a bag of gold coins - old, but gold nonetheless.
This treasure could help his young family out of poverty so he must find a way to smuggle the gold coins out of the banned mining shaft and cash them into money.
Cast includes: Sthembile Mhlongo, Lucky Khoza, Sisanda Henna, Nomalanga Nkosi, Zigi Ndlovu and Zimkitha Kumbaca.

One Mic 2

One Mic returns for a new season to discover undiscovered rapping talent. DJ Doowap returns as host and Big Zulu and Aewon Wolf return to judge but Pro isn't part of the equation.
This new season features a weekly guest judge as the third judge.

Raw Silk 2

Raw Silk returns to follow 13 township based fashion designers who have the talent to deliver but zero opportunity to be recognised.
The aspiring designers are selected from all over the country and the top of the crop compete for the ultimate prize in Johannesburg.
Pearl Modiadie returns as host and Ole Ledimo, Yasmin Furmire and Nthato Mashishi return to mentor and judge.
